Franklin, TN Creative Retreat

This is a one of a kind cozy Tennessee getaway you won't soon forget.  Grab a friend or come meet new friends and take in all this area has to offer.

What will our retreat look like?

• 6 days at the amazing Big Blue House

• Opening night dinner on the beautiful porch, overlooking the pond and gazing at the stars.

• Daily class with Doreen Frost who has created an amazing wool applique project for us to work on all week. One on one time with our very special teacher as well as working side by side with friends old and new.

• Special trips to my favorite eateries and shopping venues. We will head to both Leipers Fork and downtown Franklin. So many favorite shops in these towns and the food is outstanding!!!

• Doreen Frost will be doing a demonstration of her fabulous sourdough bread making and we will be eating it with our meal that day! YUM!!!!

• Hear some up and coming musicians along with dinner at an authentic country venue. We will do our best to get in as they don’t allow you to make reservations but its super fun!!! Aubrey will stand in line if she has too! :-)

• Special surprises and gifts from Sarah throughout the week!

• Professional photographer documenting our week and access to a gallery of images you can post on social media or share with friends

• Time spent in nature….as well as sitting in the wonderful rockers on the front porch and watching the horses graze nearby!

Over the years, I have taken numerous classes on pattern design, various techniques and historical traditions and have been taught much by my creative friends.   Each piece is handcrafted entirely by me in my home studio in Vermont using the finest quality tools and supplies. 

I spend my days, in our cozy little brown house in Vermont, tucked in a valley at the foot of Round Mountain, among the graceful Maples & Oaks.  Smoke billows from the chimney 7 months out of the year, a river rambles nearby, sheep & Cows graze in the meadows and turkey's forage nearby. Here you will find me...surrounded by wool & cotton threads, hoops & needles on my lap & sketchpads scattered about. Most of my creations tell a story (at least in my mind they do) and I often write short stories to accompany my creations. 

Pricing for the 6 day Big Blue House Retreat

Starting at $2200

Rooms with 2 Queens will be $2200 per person. ( there are 2 of these rooms available)

Rooms with 1 Queen ( single person) $2550 ( there are 2 of these rooms available)

Room with a King Bed (single person $2700 or can be shared with a friend…..contact me for the price for sharing the bed.)

$800 non-refundable deposit, to hold your spot.

1 Payment of remaining balance will be due on January 15th, 2024.

This retreat does not include travel to and from Franklin, TN as well as some meals out .

Breakfast is provided everyday of the retreat.
